Every tuber in our collection has been grown and selected right here on the farm. We choose varieties for their beauty, their reliability in the garden and the sheer joy they bring when they come into bloom — usually when you least expect it.

A little taste of what’s inside
Every tuber we sell comes with a comprehensive growing guide written from our own experience in the garden. Here’s a glimpse at what you can expect.
WHEN TO PLANT
Plant your tubers after the last frost, when the soil has begun to warm — typically from mid-spring in South Gippsland and similar climates.
DEPTH & SPACING
Plant tubers 10–15cm deep with the eye facing upward. Space 60–90cm apart to give each plant room to grow and air to circulate.
STAKING & SUPPORT
Place stakes at planting time to avoid disturbing the tuber later. Tie loosely as the plant grows — dahlias can become top-heavy in full bloom.
FEEDING & WATERING
Water deeply once a week rather than little and often. Feed with a low-nitrogen fertiliser once buds begin to form to encourage abundant flowering.
END OF SEASON
After the first frost blackens the foliage, lift your tubers, allow them to dry, and store in a cool frost-free spot over winter — ready to do it all again next year.

Yes, postage is available within the state of Victoria only. Postage costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Farm pick-up in Korumburra is free.

Every order includes a step-by-step how-to-grow guide written from our own experience on the farm. It covers everything from planting and spacing through to feeding, deadheading and lifting at season’s end.

In South Gippsland and similar climates, dahlias are best planted from mid-spring once the risk of frost has passed and the soil has begun to warm — typically from October onwards. Your growing guide will walk you through the timing in more detail.

The property is a working farm and is not open to the public except on scheduled open days and workshops. Pick-up arrangements are made by appointment — please get in touch via Instagram or email once you’ve placed your order.
