Why we run workshops

Learning that happens outdoors.

There’s something that happens when you learn in a real garden, with real soil and real flowers — it stays with you in a way that a book or a screen never quite does. That’s the whole idea behind our workshops at The Garden at Grandview.

Whether you’re brand new to dahlias or a seasoned gardener looking to deepen your knowledge, our sessions are relaxed, small and genuinely enjoyable. No pressure, no rush — just time in a beautiful space with people who love the same things you do.

SMALL GROUPS

Intimate sessions so you can ask questions, go at your own pace and actually learn.

ALL LEVELS WELCOME

Complete beginners through to experienced gardeners — everyone finds something new.

HANDS-ON

You’ll leave with dirt under your fingernails and skills you can use the very next day.

ON THE FARM

Held in a real working garden in South Gippsland — not a hall, not a classroom.

South Gippsland setting

The farm is surrounded by rolling Gippsland countryside — a genuinely beautiful place to spend a morning. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Small, friendly groups

Sessions are kept small so you get real attention and genuine conversation — not a lecture. It’s the kind of morning where you leave having made a friend or two.

Relaxed and unhurried

These aren’t rushed, packed-out events. Time in the garden moves differently — and that’s exactly the point. Come ready to slow down and enjoy it.
